The Great Moo-venture was back on the road across the West Coast this June, visiting 11 local primary schools and building on last year's strong start.
Students got a practical look at dairying in the classroom, with plenty of questions and hands-on involvement throughout. As always, getting up close to the tanker was a highlight — climbing into the cab and sounding the horn — alongside a good dose of interest in how milk becomes products like butter and skim milk powder.
It's been great to see the engagement from students, and to help build a better understanding of the dairy industry and the people behind it for the next generation.
