The Yili Group (Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co.) has joined the United Nations Global Compact of Business Leaders.

A statement from international business leaders, including the full list of CEO supporters, was presented to the UN Secretary-General during the UN Private Sector Forum on Monday, as part of the official UN75 commemorations.

The statement advocates the need for public and private institutions to show they are accountable, ethical, inclusive and transparent to strengthen public trust and achieve a more sustainable future for the planet.

By joining the Global Compact, Yili has committed to:

  • Demonstrating ethical leadership and good governance through values-based strategies, policies, operations and relationships when engaging with all stakeholders;
  • Investing in addressing systemic inequalities and injustices through inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels of our business;
  • Partnering with the UN, governments and civil society to strengthen access to justice, ensure accountability and transparency, provide legal certainty, promote equality and respect human rights.
