Welcome to our first edition of On the Ground, our new way to communicate to Westland’s farmer suppliers.

This bi-monthly newsletter has been informed by the surveys you participated in as well as the thoughts and contributions from Westland’s supplier committee.

You told us about what you do and don’t like about the way we previously communicated with you, what you would like to know about our business, and what matters most when it comes to the information you need to run yours.

This first edition tries to meet those needs.

By now you should know our business mantra is that we don’t want to annoy anyone. Our hope, particularly with the ongoing and rising demands regarding compliance, is to provide you with the information you need, stories about Westland that you are interested in, as well as any tips that might make life easier and your business more profitable.

The digital format of this publication gives us the ability to see what you are reading and what you are not. This means we will be able to drop the type of content that not many people seem to be reading.

We’re always open to feedback. If there is something you would like to see covered – or not – in On the Ground, please let us know via your representative on the supplier committee. Or stay silent and if you are in the majority, we’ll deal with it that way!
