Westgold is giving away more than 3600 blocks of butter at pop-up sites in central business locations in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland this week.

Westgold’s Senior Brand Manager Leanne Clemens says the butter is being given away over the 12 days of Christmas, which started on Monday this week, as part of Westgold’s traditional pre-Christmas campaign

The pop-up sites are between 304-328 Queen Street, Auckland, 101 Courtenay Place (facing Taranaki Street), Wellington, and 662 Columbo Street, Christchurch.

At each site shoppers are given  a 250g block of  butter and a recipe card  from noon to 1pm. Around 100 blocks are given away at each site, every day

“We are also changing our billstickers every day to showcase a new recipe using Westgold butter. The recipe card changes each day to match the billstickers,” Clemens says

“We really want people to try our butter, because our research shows us that when they do, they love it.”

Westgold is getting a good response from the public to its promotion and the daily allocation of 100 blocks at each site is gone within the hour.

Westgold’s Christmas sampling campaign is supported by hundreds of other branded billstickers, along with print and digital advertising.
